Introducing the Met Police Rover SD1 Traffic car, commonly known through rank and file as the the Black Rats vehicle of choice, as used by traffic divisions, and a fast responce vehicle, this, nethertheless, was a favourite of every black rat to either drive or ride shotgun, especially on a car chase and was an iconic and very distinctive sight to be seen, with it's two big blue lamps on opposing sides of the roof (to tell it apart from an Area car with a single blue lamp and it's immaculate rapier white body with it's distinctive big bold yellow and orange single line go faster side livery stripes, weaving beautifully in and out of traffic through the streets of London and often seen parked in motorway service stations, back in the day. This beautiful piece of police art has been digitally painted by the retired senior police artist Boris, who served at New Scotland Yard. The artwork is expertly framed and mounted, ready to be displayed in your home or office. The background of the painting features the old style Met Crest and the late Queen Elizabeth II royal cypher, adding a touch of history and nostalgia to the piece. A perfect addition to any collection of law enforcement memorabilia, this artwork is a must-have for any police history enthusiast.
